Hiking in Andalusia
Hiking in Andalusia is relatively easy and very enjoyable. Thanks to a network of ancient footpaths,
Sierra de Aracena Natural Park is an ideal area to explore on foot. You can enjoy your hike in
Andalusia through the centre of the Natural Park, starting from Valle del Arroyo.
To be well prepared for a day out walking, we provide packed lunches and there are backpacks
and hiking maps available at our Bed & Breakfast. It is recommendable to use good walking shoes
with sufficient support and grip when hiking.
Walking Routes in the Sierra de Aracena
The Sierra de Aracena Natural Park is so extensive and diverse that it offers a large number of
hiking opportunities. Walking in this area is suitable for everyone, from beginners to experienced
hikers. We can advise you on possible routes to follow in the Natural Park and you are welcome to
use our hiking maps.
With so many tracks throughout the Sierra de Aracena Natural Park, you never have to walk far to
reach the next village. Many walking routes in the Sierra de Aracena are circular, but they also
often connect with other great tracks.
In the Natural Park you will have a privileged position to observe birds of prey and nature in
general. In the low, wooded hills, brooding monk vultures, with a wingspan of nearly three feet,
patrol above the Sierra de Aracena.
